Single- and dual-source CT scanners from 16-slice to 128-slice - Fujifilm Scenaria View, Supria True64, and Siemens platforms.

About CT Imaging

Computed tomography remains one of the most essential and widely used diagnostic imaging modalities in modern radiology - delivering fast, high-resolution cross-sectional images for emergency medicine, oncology, cardiac imaging, pulmonary assessment, trauma evaluation, and routine diagnostics.

ARRAD supplies CT systems across all major manufacturers, slice counts, and configurations. From value-priced 16-slice scanners for community hospitals to premium 128-slice platforms for academic medical centers, our CT inventory is continuously refreshed with refurbished units that are tested, calibrated, and ready for immediate deployment. Each system includes detailed configuration specifications, current tube hour counts, reconstruction software details, and flexible warranty options.

CT - Frequently asked questions

What buyers ask about ct equipment.

How do I choose between a 16-slice, 64-slice, and 128-slice CT?

+

16-slice CT is well-matched to community hospitals and outpatient centers doing routine head, chest, abdomen, and extremity exams. 64-slice is the workhorse for ER, vascular runoffs, and basic cardiac gating, while 128-slice (or dual-source) is needed for coronary CTA, low-dose pediatric, and high-volume trauma. ARRAD will quote multiple slice counts against your actual case mix so you do not overspend on detector rows you will not use.

What tube hour count should I worry about on a refurbished CT?

+

Tube replacement is the largest single service cost on a CT, so we always disclose installed tube hours and remaining warranty. Below 250,000 mAs / 50,000 scan seconds is generally healthy on most platforms; above that you should budget for tube replacement within 12 to 24 months. Every ARRAD CT ships with documented tube life and a tube warranty option.

Are refurbished CT scanners reliable enough for ER and trauma use?

+

Yes, when properly refurbished. ARRAD CT scanners are deinstalled by experienced engineers, mechanically rebuilt, calibrated to OEM image quality specs, and validated under load before shipment. Many of our refurbished GE, Siemens, and Canon (Toshiba) systems serve Level III and II trauma centers across the US.

What dose reduction technology should I look for?

+

Iterative reconstruction is the single biggest lever - GE ASiR-V, Siemens SAFIRE / ADMIRE, Canon AIDR 3D, and Fujifilm IPV reduce dose 30 to 60% versus filtered back-projection without sacrificing diagnostic quality. ARRAD will confirm which iterative reconstruction license is installed on every CT we quote so you do not pay extra for software you assumed was included.

Do I need a contrast injector and is it included with a CT purchase?

+

Any CT doing vascular, oncology, or ER work needs a dual-head power injector - typically a Medrad Stellant or Bayer Mallinckrodt OptiVantage. Injectors are quoted separately so the customer can match consumables, but ARRAD stocks refurbished injectors and will bundle injector, console, and warming sleeves with the CT package.
