C-Arm & Fluoroscopy

Mini C-arms (Hologic Fluoroscan, Orthoscan) are purpose-built for hand, wrist, foot, and ankle work in orthopedic offices and ASCs, with smaller footprint and far lower dose. Full-size C-arms (GE OEC, Siemens Cios, Ziehm Vision) are required for spine, hip, vascular, pain management, and general OR work. ARRAD will scope the procedure mix and quote the right platform.

The OEC 9900 image-intensifier C-arm remains a clinical standard for orthopedic and pain work because of its reliability, parts availability, and low refurb pricing. Flat-panel C-arms (OEC Elite, Cios Alpha, Ziehm Vision RFD) deliver better contrast and lower dose but cost significantly more. ARRAD stocks both and explains the tradeoffs in writing before you commit.

Surgical C-arms are optimized for short-duration orthopedic and general-OR fluoroscopy, with smaller intensifier or detector and lower kW generator. Vascular C-arms have larger field of view, higher kW for through-pelvis runoff, DSA capability, and roadmapping software. ARRAD will quote the right configuration for your case mix.

A full-size mobile C-arm needs roughly 6 to 8 feet of clearance around the OR table for free rotation and orbital movement, plus access room for the workstation cart. We provide footprint drawings as part of any C-arm quote and verify door widths for delivery and OR ingress.

Yes - ARRAD provides nationwide service contracts on GE OEC, Ziehm, Siemens Cios, and Philips Veradius mobile C-arms, including preventive maintenance, image intensifier and flat panel exchange, generator service, and on-call emergency support.
