How does ARRAD's detector exchange program work?

When your Hologic Selenia or Dimensions panel fails QC, ARRAD ships a fully calibrated replacement detector to your site before you return the failed unit, so screening volume keeps flowing. Once you ship the failed panel back, our engineers refurbish, recalibrate, and return it to inventory. Typical replacement-on-site time is 24 to 72 hours nationwide.
Are refurbished OEM detectors as good as new?

A certified refurbished detector that passes gain calibration, dead-pixel mapping, flat-field uniformity, artifact evaluation, and thermal testing performs to the same clinical and MQSA specs as new. ARRAD provides the full QA test report with every refurbished panel so your medical physicist can validate before the first patient.
OEM versus aftermarket detectors - is there a real difference?

For mammography ARRAD only supplies OEM Hologic detectors because the firmware, calibration files, and AEC handshake are proprietary and aftermarket panels do not pass MQSA-grade image quality testing reliably. For general radiography, aftermarket panels from Konica, Vieworks, and Fujifilm are clinically equivalent to OEM at lower cost.
What panel size do I need for my mammography system?

Hologic Selenia, Dimensions, and 3Dimensions systems use a 24 by 29 cm amorphous selenium direct-conversion detector. The panel is matched to the system serial range and software version - ARRAD verifies compatibility against your system before shipping so the swap is plug-and-play.
How is a replacement detector calibrated after install?

Replacement detectors are pre-calibrated on our bench against ACR phantom standards, then a final flat-field, gain, and AEC calibration is performed on-site by an ARRAD or partner field engineer. Your medical physicist then completes the equipment-evaluation tests required by MQSA before clinical use resumes.
